Nancy Buluma

Nancy Buluma is a results-driven Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with over ten years of post-admission experience. Her practice spans civil and commercial litigation, including breach of contract, debt recovery, enforcement of securities and commercial recovery proceedings. She has considerable experience in insurance law, defending motor vehicle insurance claims, with work that includes fraud detection, claims analysis and management of claim files against loss ratio targets.

Nancy is well-versed in employment and labour relations law. She handles unfair termination suits, redundancy processes and disciplinary hearings, and advises on employment contracts and labour dispute resolution. She has a strong grounding in constitutional law, covering enforcement of fundamental rights and freedoms, judicial review applications and public law litigation.

In environment and land law, she handles ownership disputes, adverse possession, eviction, trespass, land use and boundary disputes. She is also experienced in succession and family law, and in company and commercial law, having incorporated companies and societies.

She is equally experienced in conveyancing, having drafted and scrutinised leases, legal charges, assignments and discharges of charge. She advises corporate and individual clients on litigation strategy, legal exposure and regulatory compliance.

Nancy holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from Moi University and completed the Advocates Training Programme at the Kenya School of Law. She is currently pursuing a Master of Laws (LL.M) at the University of Nairobi. She is a member of the Law Society of Kenya (LSK) and of the Federation of Women Lawyers Kenya (FIDA Kenya), where she has been an active member since 2011.
