Sylvia Okech is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and a legal compliance specialist. She holds a Bachelor of Laws from The Catholic University of Eastern Africa and a Master of Arts in Development, Diplomacy and International Security from Daystar University.
Before her admission she served as a law pupil at Manyonge Wanyama & Associates Advocates, then joined the civil service at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the host country affairs and legal directorate. She is a full member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
She specialises in legal audits, legislative drafting, constitutional law, transaction advisory, risk evaluation and mitigation, negotiation, and public sector reform and privatisation. Sylvia has acted for the Council of Governors and the County Governments of Kisii, Nairobi, Nyamira and Trans-Nzoia in complex legal matters.
